Moira Young is from Vancouver, Canada and is now based in the beautiful city of Bath. After winning the Metropolitan Opera Auditions for Western Canada, she moved to the UK to further her singing career.
She has appeared in West
End musicals and plays, in the UK and Canada, as well
as in opera. Her opera work includes: The Telephone (North
West Opera, Vancouver); The Man Who Mistook His Wife For
a Hat (Bridewell); Trouble in Tahiti (The London 20);
Cosi fan tutte (OperaGlass); The Beggars Opera (First
Act Opera); Bertha (Bridewell); Fables (Bridewell); Cosi
fan tutte, Magic Flute, La Traviata; La Boheme, and Carmen
(Travelling Opera).
Moira is an accomplished recitalist
with concerts at St Martins-in-the-Field and the National
Portrait Gallery to her credit. Her work includes charity
galas, concerts with orchestra and chamber ensembles,
and an opera-in-concert series for the Seabourn Cruise
Line.
She is also an experienced wedding soloist.
